The top celebrity property plays of July 2021on 11/08/2021 at 3:11 PM

July was a big month for celebrity property moves, mainly on Australian shores with a well-known tech founder and TV host both selling and snapping up multi-million dollar mansions.

In the US, celebrities weren’t just buying and selling not-so-humble abodes, but also leasing them out to the public allowing the average Joe to live the lifestyle of the rich and the famous, if just for a few nights.

Here are the biggest celebrity property plays of July 2021.

Andrew O’Keefe sells North Bondi home

Known for his work as the game show host of Deal or No Deal, Andrew O’Keefe is no stranger to luxury living in Sydney.

Scotty Pippen’s affordable rental mansion

It’s rare to see a celebrity home associated with the word ‘affordable’, but NBA legend Scotty Pippen’s rental in Chicago leases for just $US92 ($AUD125) a night.

The six-time NBA champion, who played alongside Michael Jordan, decided on the price as a nod to the year he and his teammates became Olympic gold medallists in 1992.

Groups of four people had the chance to stay in the slam-dunk home on either 2, 4 or 6 August.

In his Airbnb listing, Mr Pippen said the guests would be able to take home memorabilia, play on his indoor basketball court and watch the Olympic Games from his home theatre.

Rhianna lists luxurious Hollywood Hills rental

Billionaire songstress Rihanna put her luxurious LA mansion up for rent last month with an eye-watering $80,000 (AUD$107,000) per month price tag.

The 550sqm home comes with all the perks expected of an A-list celebrity lifestyle, including an epic entertaining area with a fire pit and pool, a state-of-the-art gym and a sleek cocktail bar.

Rihanna purchased the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom home for $13.75 million (AUD$18.7 million) last year.
