A former Sea Eagles beach lair has had its asking price clipped by $1.5 million to entice a buyer.
One-time Sea Eagles owner Max Delmege built his dream home on Mona Vale beachfront and sold it very reluctantly ten years ago.

Now it is back on the market and there are hopes it will still set a new suburb record – even though the price guide has dropped from $11 million to $9.5 million.
Mr Delmege is known as the saviour of the Sea Eagles. The high-profile property developer spent millions on the club he loved and walked away from co-ownership in 2017 a hero.
But apart from being passionate about his footy club the larger than life figure is also passionate about real estate and he selected one of the finest beachfront positions for his home.
No. 15 Surfview Rd, Mona Vale is a protected position that borders the beach and has beachfront views. There are high-end finishes and features such as hardwood floors, heated
Travertine tiles, designer kitchen with a full suite of Smeg appliances and a built-in barbecue on the main entertaining veranda.
The four-bedroom house on 847sqm of land has been off and on the market since March with more than one agent and was scheduled to go to auction at the end of July with a $11 million guide.
James Baker, of McGrath Pittwater, said the auction wasn’t held and instead, based on buyer feedback, the price guide was dropped to $9.5 million.
“We are getting the normal inquiries from the lower and upper north shore buyers but the hot interest is from locals who are valuing the location,” he said.
“People are loving how close it is to everything and a level walk,” Mr Baker said.
And even with a price drop it could set a new benchmark for a house in Mona Vale. The current suburb record is $7.7 million for a waterfront home in Rednal St set in 2015.
